Professional Services & Collections

All my work is intended for a lifetime of use. Designs begin with a refined metal structure organizing a great range of tactile materials: leather, stone, wood, glass and plastics. Every aspect of every piece is fabricated and assembled in-house or overseen in collaboration with the best artisans and technicians.

I trained and registered as an Architect, retiring early and earning a MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art in 1993. In addition to my professional practice, I teach in the College of Design at the University of Minnesota and the Graduate Program at Minneapolis College of Art and Design.

Thomas Oliphant is TOMOCO, Inc. and based in MSP since 1995.  Tom, not Thom and, TOMOCO, like Jackie-O & Wham-O.  Hey! Tom-O: TOM-O-CO.
